I have been extremely lucky to have visited this part of the Slovenian Alps on many occasions over the past 30 years. The views are dominated by a crescendo of limestone peaks that, with the clear air, always appear close enough to touch.

The classic Alpine landscapes provide a dramatic backdrop and ever-changing vistas for inspiring walks. There is a real depth to the warmth of local hospitality and the desire to share locally-produced food and drink with visitors.

The Slovenian Alps and Gorenjska have never disappointed.
