The Pri Ingotu cabin is a shepherd's cottage located in Jasenje above Gozd Martuljek and is one of the few still operating dairy farms in the Kranjska Gora municipality.
Spring livestock grazing also marks the opening of the tourist season when visitors of the mountain are served dishes prepared following the recipes of our grandmothers. The main specialities are the home-made stews that were once the pillar of Slovenian cuisine, and of course buckwheat žganci and sour milk.
By reminiscing of old times and customs (cooking in stew pots over open fire) we try to demonstrate to our visitors a fraction of what living on a mountain pasture is really all about. We serve food and drinks made of only ingredients produced on the farm. We also give them local names, such as čompica, govnač etc.
Visitors of our pasture can take part in all the farm activities (manual grass cutting, wood chopping, žganci making).
However, our main objective is to make our customers feel at home, so you can get some rest, enjoy the peaceful surroundings or chat with the landowner who will gladly tell you the names of the surrounding hills, give you path directions and recipe tips so you can return to the valley with lasting good impressions of our pasture.
