In summer months the Slovenian Alps are teeming with entertaining events and adventures. Spend the Summer at the Foot of Vitranc in Kranjska Gora, go to Bled Days and the traditional Bled Night in Bled, Kranj Night in Kranj, Fresh Thursdays in the Radovljica Square, or any other fun activity.

In September we will celebrate Farewell to Summer in Železniki, and in November Merry Autumn at Pod krivo jelko in Duplje. Move to the merry rhythms of the traditional Folk Music Festival in Bohinj and the Folk Music Hit Parade in Bled, or visit Festival Avsenik, named after the legendary Avsenik brothers from Begunje near Radovljica, the originators of the Oberkreiner music.

Festive December events, Christmas fairs and open-air New Year’s Eve parties bring the festive spirit to most large towns in Gorenjska. In this time, Radovljica and Bled open their door to the international Ana Mraz Street Theatre Festival.

An attractive feature of the Vitranc Cup is the Q Max Party, which brings Slovenian and international stars to the stage in Kranjska Gora.

Carnival Parades and other carnival activities are held in many towns to celebrate the end of winter, and the new summer season is announced by bonfires and the traditional May Day Oldtimer Parade in Naklo.

Every second Sunday in September you can see the Hrast Memorial, an international oldtimers’ mountain race to the old border pass Ljubelj.
